Remember the last time you were on an airplane? The safety instructions inform you, in case of an emergency, to put on your oxygen mask before you can help others. This is the premise for personal self-care. You must be emotionally and physically healthy in order to help other people. |
Here are some simple solutions for ongoing self-care:
* Hot bubble bath
- * Reading a good book
- * Laughing
- * Enjoying a cup of tea or coffee
- * Talking to a friend (in person or on the phone)
- * Going for a walk
- * Smiling

- Mini/stay-cation to mix up the day-to-day
- Shopping spree
- Sleeping without setting the alarm
- Trying a new, expensive restaurant
- Joining a new club/activity to meet new people
