Oh, what a beautiful day!
I struggle with desiring all of these things, but not always being able to achieve this level of happiness every day.
Luckily, I have found 2 amazing antidotes to these overcome my (and your) struggles.
- First, asking for Support from Others. I benefit from talking about my problems
and being open to suggestions, guidance, and assistance from people I trust
and respect. Allowing myself to be vulnerable and ask for help is scary, but
so rewarding! My fears, pain, and struggles go away when I take the leap and
share my issues with others – and trust them to be helpful and caring. Poof!
Negative energy/experiences are put into perspective and dealt with appropriately. - Secondly, utilizing Positive Self-Talk to manage internal struggles. As a therapist,
thoughts, which creates productive behaviors. Truth is, as a human with thoughts
and feelings, I also have negative thoughts. Keeping consciously aware of my
thoughts and emotions is needed in order to adjust them to effectively manage myself.
The overall goal of incorporating support from trusted friends/family and using positive self-talk is to have happy, healthy days. These antidotes are an ongoing process, not a one-time fix!
